22 January 2018 - Week 42

Week 42 began early as we got out of bed so we could deliver the Sisters to the train station.  All three of them were assigned to ride the train to Cluj.  Arriving in Cluj, Sister Kerrison met her new companion and they rode the train back to Arad.  They got here at 9 p.m.  Sora Folsom and Sora Pitcher flew to Bucharest.  Sora Pitcher picked up a new missionary who she will be training.  Sora Folsom is headed to Chisinau.

Our next adventure this week is a trip to Horia to teach Sora Muscan another temple preparation lesson.  She has a goal to receive her endowments in the Frieberg, Germany temple.

Sora Muscan's GoodLooking chickens - She Loves them!

We have been making daily visits to the post office and receiving packages at our apartment.  It is a great feat to receive something that has been sent from the US.  We received a beautiful book called the "Teaching of Thomas S. Monson" personalized with his handwritten signature from the wonderful people who we worked within our previous Family History mission.  Getting that package was probably the hardest thing we have done here.  They required paperwork which we completed twice and submitted by email.  A couple of phone calls and emails, one of which Brent just lost it when writing.  He told them he had decided that he would probably never see the gift.

McKay and Janel shipped us a LARGE triple we want to have specially bound here in Romania.  Klarissa picked it up for us when she was in the MTC.  We have been told that is the only place you can find a book like it.  They slipped in some yummy jerky and our favorite orange sticks along with some words of wisdom from everyone in the family.

We also finally received our Christmas letter from Marshall and Jessica's family in ElPaso.  So fun to see the cute hands and feel their love.
