More walking in the woods this week.  There is still a lot of lumber being removed.  We talked to a man at the Park museum who told us that after a big wind storm last year, it was decided that the trees need to be cleared to keep from having them fall down and cause a problem after a storm. This is the sister's investigator, Gabriel.  He lives outside Arad in the countryside.  His home is on an approximately 3-acre piece of land at the bottom of a hill covered with grape vineyards. He works in France and has been meeting with the sisters there, but now he is at his home in Arad, so the sisters have been teaching him.  His cute little mother has come from France to live with him.  This day she made us some fried zucchini and the neighbor sent over a bread called Placinta. It was like a large scone. The Romanians almost always offer us drinks - apa (water) or cola (coke) or fanta (like orange soda).   The roses are blooming all around.  I have captured a few photos o

Sora Broadbear, who came to Arad 5 weeks ago, has not been to see the Fortress near Arad, so that is the first order of business for this week. The sisters applying for Sora Broadbear's Visa.  We drove to Covasant which is a village outside of Arad to visit an investigator and have a picnic.  We took our pb&j sandwiches, cookies and chips and stopped alongside the road by a little lake.  We set up our stuff in some trees and dreamed about camping.  We noticed

A trip north of Arad to the village of Horia happened at the beginning of this week.  We went to see Sora Muscan, one of our members.  She has a nice home and wonderful grapevine covered outside space.  We had to go out to the back and visit the variety of chickens, ducks, and turkeys who live there.  We are not farmer enough to know what type of grain this is growing in a large field where we walk in the woods, but the big grain field reminds us of home.   I was trying to get a photo of this field when Brent decided to smell the flowers.   Photo bomb! On Wednesday and Thursday this week we flew to Chisinau, Moldova for a senior conference with all the senior couples and President and Sora Hettinger. The view from our plane as we landed in Moldova.  Elder and Sora Godfrey planned a great couple of days for us.  We really enjoyed spending time with the other seniors on the chartered bus.  We had a great driver who delivered us to several Moldova tourist a
