20 November 2017 - Week 33
This week began with another trip to the Corvin Castle in Hunedoara, Romania. Elder Wilstead had not been to the castle before and because he will be going home in February we decided to take him to see it. Elder Wilstead, Elder Gore, and Elder Andersen The day was rainy and drizzly, but we arrived at the castle a bit early and had to wait for them to open at 12:00 noon. No discount for rainy days. This was Brent's 4th trip to this castle and Jamie's 3rd, but we enjoyed it. There are lots of great picture opportunities there! This archway leads to the well that was dug by 3 Turkish prisoners. The legend says that they were told if they found water, they would be freed. After 15 years of digging the finally reached the water, but they were not released from prison.
