16 April 2018 - Week 54

Most Monday mornings we go to the mall to make the donations deposit at the Bank of Transylvania.  When the Elders left at the end of February, Elder Andersen became the person in charge of taking the money to the bank.  He has tried to talk to the bank people, but most of the time it does not work.  He has better success just showing them the papers from his last deposit and giving them the money.  They do not understand his "limba Romana."

We sent Sora Sterrett home last week and this week we welcomed Sora Broadbear.  She comes from Price, Utah and has been assigned to Arad following her 6 week MTC experience.  We were happy to meet the sisters at the train station (gara) as they returned from new missionary pickup and training in Bucharest.

And the afternoon after she arrived, we went out into the country looking for less actives.  We were looking for Sora Bacanu and we found her.

We often meet a tram via on the street. It is kind of crazy how the cars, bicycles, and tram via all run on the same street.  It causes some traffic problems, but overall it works pretty well.  We haven't seen an accident yet.

Our walks in the woods this week must have been the coming out days for the snails.  One day they were everywhere.  We took pictures of a couple alongside Brent's bullet oil vial so we could show their size.

The trees along the road in the woods are looking very springy and the spring foliage is covering the trash alongside the road.  Nature reclaiming her domain.
